Exchange Account: Unable to verify Information

If you are prompted with Password entry pop screen on your iphone or ipad and also if you are prompted the error unable to verify information from on any iOS devices trying to setup Exchange ActiveSync connection. You may try fixing the error as follows.

Log into the ECP (https://yourmailserver/ecp) on Exchange 2013

Navigate to servers > virtual directories

From virtual directories select > Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync ‎(Default Web Site)‎

On, Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync ‎(Default Web Site)‎ double click, a new window pops up similar to the below screen.

Under the external URL type the your public domain name or the name which your email server is accessed from outside. Now save it.

Try configuring the iOS clients and it should work fine without any errors. This worked for me.

Note: You will have to reconfig your devices once above setup is completed after removing any previous non working accounts.

Below are the often prompted errors on iOS devices.

Windows 8 Wifi Problem

Symptoms: Frequent disconnection of Wifi and variations on network strength on Windows 8 installed laptops.

Solution : Download the latest drivers from the Network Adapter manufacturers website and run the latest driver installation package to fix the issue. Before you download the driver check the present installed driver version number and cross the check with the latest one available for download from manufacturers website. Note: Do not try updating from the Windows Update Server, this will not fix the issue.

I have tested this solution on 2 of my friends laptops, a Acer Ultraslim and Dell XPS Ultra Slim. So far it seems to be ok.

Dell: Windows 8 default installed driver (old)

Dell: New driver installed after downloading from Intel
