My trip to Colmar Hills in Bukit Tinggi..

Malaysia

On 3rd January 2013 I had visited one of the most beautiful places for photography in Malaysia. I traveled from Kuala Lumpur on a hired mini bus from an agent in Shah Alam. The trip was planned as a one day trip. We departed KL around 11:30hrs in the morning and reach French City (Colmar Hills) around 13:00hrs without much traffic.

French City:

The first place to be visited was French City. This place was awesome and one of my first sightings of such a place. The weather was beautiful with a cold wind blowing. Around this 15th Century concept french city it was total green and also we could sight the Berjaya Hotels Gold course from the top tower inside the castle.
Castle has a beautiful lake which had couple of white swans swimming on their own speed and world.

This castle had coffee shops to hotels inside along with water fountains in the mid road. A camera is a must to have...

  • Place: French City - Bukkit Tinggi
  • Transport - Mini Bus
  • Price - 450RM (return trip)
  • Duration - One day trip
  • Mobile Connectivity - No 3G Maxis
  • Entrance Fee - Charged at the entrance check post
Japanese Village:

After visiting french city we took a (free) shuttle service from bus stop outside French city to Japanese garden. To reach the garden we had to climb number to stairs and the road is also quite sloppy. If you are with children should be extra careful as one side of the road leads to off the hill.

The garden consists of Japanese style houses and small waterfalls with fishes and small bridges and stones around. The places consists of quite old and huge trees which gives the place an extra cooling.
